Barry Borlaug, MD
Dr. Barry A. Borlaug is a cardiologist in Rochester, Minnesota, affiliated with the Mayo Clinic. He received his medical degree from the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health and his postdoctoral fellowship in Cardiovascular Medicine at The Johns Hopkins Hospital and School of Medicine. He has been in practice for more than 17 years.
His research is focused on the mechanisms, diagnosis, and treatment of heart failure, with specific interests in heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF). Dr. Borlaug was named a World's Top 2% Scientist, 2021, by Stanford University, and he received the Mayo Clinic Transform the Practice Award from the Department of Medicine, Mayo Clinic, in 2019.
