Pradeep Mammen MD
Dr. Pradeep Mammen is a Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center and a member of the Division of Cardiology. He serves as Medical Director of the Neuromuscular Cardiomyopathy Clinic, as well as Director of Translational Research for the Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology Program.
Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in cardiovascular medicine, and advanced heart failure/transplant cardiology, he joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2004. Dr. Mammen was promoted to Associate Professor in 2013, and to Professor in 2021. Dr. Mammen is a member of the UT Southwestern Hamon Center for Regenerative Science & Medicine and has a molecular laboratory that is funded through grants from the National Institutes of Health and the American Heart Association. A Fellow of both the American Heart Association and the American College of Cardiology, Dr. Mammen is one of only 500 U.S. cardiologists who are board certified in advanced heart failure/transplant cardiology.
Dr. Mammen has published more than 40 journal articles and delivered numerous invited lectures. He has served as a reviewer for publications that include the American Heart Journal, American Journal of Cardiology, American Journal of Physiology–Heart and Circulatory Physiology, Circulation: Heart Failure, Journal of the American College of Cardiology, and the Journal of Cardiac Failure. In addition, Dr. Mammen serves on the Scientific Review Committee for various study sections for the National Institutes of Health and the American Heart Association.
